Sweet Thing

No, I'm not talking about desserts here ladies, although who doesn't love them? I read an interesting tidbit today concerning our significant others.  In a recent study conducted by our very own University of North Carolina found that the more you feel gratitude toward your significant other, the stronger your relationship will be.  I thought, doesn't that go back to a basic principle that Christ teaches about our marriages and as the body of believers.  He calls us to edify and build up one another.  It's easier sometimes to notice the negatives things than the right things that someone's doing.  I like this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, "It's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness." Jesus put it another way, "Let your light shine before men(Matt. 5:14)." We should let Christ's light shine through us-even and most importantly to our spouses.... So the next time our hubby's do something sweet for us, no matter how big or small, lets make sure we let them know we noticed...it does everyone good!
